Espresso Machine Emergency Service Berlin — When Every Minute Counts
Thursday, 7:30 am, a café in Prenzlauer Berg. The Linea PB goes "click" on the first shot and stops. Eight guests waiting on cappuccino. The question of the day's revenue gets settled within the hour, one way or the other. That's exactly what the emergency service is for: call us, quick diagnosis over the phone, we pack the right parts and head out.
We're not a big company with a call center. You get a technician or the owner directly. That's intentional — whoever talks to you in an emergency will know your machine by heart by the second visit at the latest.
When Emergency Service Makes Sense
- Machine fails before or during service — breakfast, lunch, evening
- Pressure or heating gone, no espresso possible
- One of two brew groups still works, but you need both
- Grinder eats beans without grinding them (grinder emergency service runs in parallel)
- Sudden water or power cutoff at the machine
- Handover appointment with a landlord or insurer is coming up
If the machine is "just" loud or the crema is getting weaker, that's not an emergency — we handle that at a normal maintenance appointment within a few days.
How an Emergency Call-Out Works
- Call 030 75 43 73 44. Machine model, location, symptom, error code (if there is one).
- Pre-diagnosis on the phone. Sometimes it's just a tripped safety reset, and we save ourselves the trip.
- Drive out with the workshop van and matching spare parts.
- On-site repair if possible, otherwise we provide a loaner and take the machine to the workshop.
- Function test with pressure, temperature, and three test shots.
- Invoice with itemized call-out fee, labor, parts, and weekend/night surcharge, fully transparent.
Response Time & Service Area

The workshop is based in Oranienburg, Am Dorfanger 6. Drive time to Berlin Mitte is 40 to 50 minutes, depending on time of day and traffic on the A111. We drive out with a workshop van and standard spare parts for La Marzocco, La Cimbali, Nuova Simonelli, ECM, Rocket — the most common commercial machines in Berlin.
Brand Focus for Gastronomy
La Marzocco is the standard in Berlin's specialty cafés — Linea Classic, Linea PB, KB90, Strada. We know the typical failures (AV solenoid valves, saturator issues, control board) and carry the parts right on the van.
La Cimbali and Faema dominate classic Italian-style gastronomy — M100, M26, E71, E61. Sturdy machines, but when they act up, it's typically the solenoid valve block or the pressure switch control.
Nuova Simonelli (Appia, Aurelia) and Victoria Arduino (Eagle One, Black Eagle) — growing presence, plenty of new openings go with these.
For Slayer, Modbar, Kees van der Westen we do emergency service, but we're upfront on the phone about wait times for special-order parts.
Loaner Machine on Request
If the repair takes longer than a morning, you can request a loaner machine to bridge the gap. Available are a La Marzocco Linea Mini, a GS3, and two dual-boiler machines in the ECM/Profitec format. Daily rate plus delivery. That keeps your service running while we're wrenching in the workshop.
What We Do NOT Do in Emergency Service
- No repairs on fully automatic machines — Jura, DeLonghi super-automatics, etc.
- No improvising without the right part — if the solenoid valve is dead and we don't have one on the van, we'll tell you honestly instead of botching a fix
- No emergency flat rates without an actual call-out — if the machine gets fixed two days later, that's a normal workshop job, not a 24/7 rate
- No warranty on emergency workarounds when we explicitly repair to "get it running again for now" instead of doing it properly — that gets agreed transparently beforehand
Advance Tips for the Café Team
Print an emergency checklist and hang it by the machine: Power OK? Breaker tripped? Water OK? Pressure gauge? Display error code? Manometer? Steam pressure? Giving us those readings on the phone easily saves 20 minutes of diagnosis. A photo of the display and the manometer speeds things up even more.
