We're a team of coffee enthusiasts and hands-on workshop people, brought together by our passion for portafilter espresso. With years of experience servicing and repairing espresso machines and grinders, we look after the machine you work with.

Nicola Maisto — Owner
9bar Studio brings my two big passions together: engineering and coffee. Here in the workshop I combine hands-on craft with the art of roasting. Years of experience with original Italian manufacturers in Florence and Milan. Based in Oranienburg near Berlin since 2018.
Paul — Workshop Manager & Head of Coffee
Runs the day-to-day workshop logistics, service quality and our specialty coffee program. Repair, maintenance, tuning, advice — and the selection of our in-house roasts.
Luca Maisto — Catering & Events
Unforgettable espresso experiences for caterings and events. Corporate event or private party — we bring the machine and the barista.
What we do
We work on espresso machines — E61, lever, saturated group, vintage or new, home or commercial. Maintenance, repair and restoration for espresso machines from a wide range of brands. On site in Berlin and Brandenburg, or in our workshop in Oranienburg. Original parts sourced through the manufacturers. Warranty as per our terms and conditions.
On top of that: grinder service, water filter installation, plumb-in conversions, tuning and customization, barista training and our in-house specialty coffee roastery.
What we don't do
No super-automatics (Jura, DeLonghi, Siemens). No capsule machines. We specialize purely in portafilter machines — that's our craft.
