Models we service and repair
Sanremo has been building machines in Treviso, Veneto, Italy since 1995. A comparatively young brand in the Italian espresso machine landscape that quickly positioned itself in the premium commercial league — with its own design approach, often sport-themed designs (Café Racer, Renegade, F18), and a clear philosophy: top performance for specialty cafés in a design language that sets itself apart from the Swiss-style sobriety of the competition. In Berlin and Brandenburg we see Sanremo at specialty cafés with a clear identity — a constant presence, but rarer than La Cimbali or Nuova Simonelli.
Cafe Racer is the main platform. 2-Group or 3-Group, classic layout with premium sensors, programmable volumetric dosing, a distinctive sport-themed design that makes a visual statement in specialty cafés.
Café Racer Renegade is the variant with pressure profiling. Profiling servo, pressure sensor on the brew group, profile programming via display — competing with the La Marzocco Strada EP or Sanremo's own top platforms.
Opera 2.0 is the premium platform with multi-boiler logic. Each brew group has its own PID sensors and its own boiler section, with a separate steam boiler. Structurally similar to the Dalla Corte or La Marzocco GB5 — a multi-boiler service discipline.
Verano is the mid-range commercial platform with a heat exchanger design. More robust to service than multi-boiler platforms, ideal for mid-size café setups.
Roma and Zoe are the more compact platforms. Roma is the standard café format for smaller setups, Zoe Compact and Zoe Vert are very compact variants for boutique installs or small bistros.
Treviso is the vintage platform from the 2000s, occasionally on our bench for restoration.
F18 is the sport edition with custom design themes.
Common problems and our fix
Cafe Racer, pressure drop on one group. A classic in daily café use after 3-5 years without maintenance. First check: the solenoid valve on the affected group — a standard Sanremo solenoid valve, 30-45 minutes to replace, part in the normal premium price range. If the solenoid valve checks out clean, next is the Procon rotary pump. Pump replacement on-site at the café takes 2-3 hours plus the part — usually done the same day when we show up with the van and parts on hand.
Opera 2.0, multi-boiler sensors drifting. A multi-boiler platform with per-group sensors. When one group throws an error or the temperature drifts, it's usually the PT100 sensor in the affected brew chamber. Sensor out, into citric acid, cleaned and back in, then measure the values. If the sensor keeps drifting: replace it. Opera service requires an understanding of multi-boiler systems — structurally similar to Dalla Corte, different in the details. Standard repair techs without Sanremo experience can burn hours of trial and error on an Opera — we know the platform.
Verano, water under the machine. A heat exchanger platform with classic culprits: heat exchanger gasket on the boiler, a dripping level solenoid valve, a displaced drain hose. Diagnosis with a visual and pressure test, replacement in 60-120 minutes depending on the finding.
Roma or Zoe, display shows an error. Compact platforms with their own control logic. Diagnostic order: check level probes, check temperature sensors, connectors, firmware version. In 70 percent of cases it's sensor scaling, not a board fault.
Cafe Racer Renegade, pressure profiling off. Profiling servo drifting, or the pressure sensor on the brew group faulty. Diagnosis with a pressure measurement setup and a reference gauge, calibrating the profiles via the control board. Renegade service is its own premium maintenance discipline — we include profiling calibration in the annual service.
Genuine parts from Treviso
We source Sanremo parts through the authorized distributor in Germany, and in some cases directly from the factory in Treviso. Solenoid valves, Procon rotary pumps, heating elements, PT100 sensors, control boards, pressure profiling servos for the Renegade, brew group gaskets, multi-boiler components for the Opera 2.0 — all genuine.
Fair warning, transparent upfront: Sanremo parts cost more than standard commercial brands like Nuova Simonelli or La Cimbali, but less than ultra-premium platforms like KvdW. Sanremo positions itself in the premium segment, and that's reflected in the parts pricing. No nasty surprise on the invoice — we always give a transparent quote upfront.
We keep brew group gaskets and standard solenoid valves in stock. Control boards and profiling servos come through the distributor with 1-2 days' lead time. For vintage Treviso platforms we check parts availability before the appointment — some very old components are only available as a repair rather than a replacement these days.
Sport-themed designs — cosmetic care
Sanremo is known for its distinctive design language with sport-themed platforms — Cafe Racer with motorsport references, F18 with custom paintwork, the Renegade line with an aggressive design. Cosmetic care: documenting paint damage and touching up small spots with original paint, checking stainless components for corrosion, cleaning custom-paint machines with care. We don't do full repaints — there are specialized paint shops for that, and we can put you in touch. Standard cosmetic care is part of our annual service.
Multi-boiler service on the Opera 2.0 — our specialty
Multi-boiler diagnostics on the Opera 2.0 are structurally similar to our Dalla Corte service: measure each group's own sensors individually with a calibrated multimeter, compare values across groups (what's drifting, what's stable), calibrate the multi-boiler PID via the control board, handle steam boiler maintenance separately, check the firmware version. A systematic approach, no trial-and-error guesswork — we know the Sanremo multi-boiler logic.
Emergency service for cafés — 24/7
Cafe Racer, Opera 2.0, and Verano units sit in Berlin specialty cafés that can't close over lunch. 24/7 emergency service in Berlin and Brandenburg: typical arrival time in Berlin is within 4 hours, Brandenburg 4-6 hours. We carry Sanremo parts in the van — solenoid valves, gasket kits, PT100 sensors, standard heating elements. Standard faults fixed on the spot wherever possible, special cases get a follow-up appointment once the part arrives, loaner machine depending on stock. Callout flat fee plus hourly rate from 99 euros net, small weekend surcharge for emergency calls.
On-site or workshop
Cafe Racer, Opera 2.0, Verano in a running café: on-site, always. Premium commercial platforms are heavy, permanently plumbed in, and expensive to have down during café operations.
Roma and Zoe (compact platforms): depends on the setup. For a small bistro install it's often a workshop appointment with pickup, for a permanently plumbed-in café install it's on-site.
Renegade for profiling service: either on-site at the café setup with pressure measurement equipment, or a workshop appointment for a full overhaul.
Treviso for vintage restoration: workshop appointment after pickup. Restoration isn't something you finish on-site in 90 minutes.
What we don't do
Custom firmware on control boards. Sanremo delivers official firmware updates through the distributor — that's enough. Third-party software voids the warranty and can scramble the multi-boiler logic or profiling control.
Aftermarket components in Sanremo platforms. A 30-euro pump from China in a Cafe Racer is sabotage, not savings. Genuine or nothing — especially on premium platforms.
Full repaints of sport-themed designs. Sanremo custom paint jobs (F18 editions, Renegade themes) are their own category. We do cosmetic care; full repaints are handled by specialized paint shops. We're happy to put you in touch.
Profiling mods on non-Renegade platforms. We don't fit Renegade profiling servos onto a standard Cafe Racer. If you want profiling, buy a Renegade.
Repair of counterfeit machines. Sanremo platforms are technically too complex for mass counterfeiting, but if you bring in a questionable machine, you'll get an honest word and no invoice.

Get in touch
Send us the model (Cafe Racer / Renegade / Opera 2.0 / Verano / Roma / Zoe / Treviso / F18), the configuration (number of groups for commercial models), the year if known, and a quick description of the symptom. A photo of the nameplate and a photo of the machine help a lot with an initial assessment. For emergencies: location and phone number, we'll call you straight back. For Renegade profiling issues, please briefly describe the profile setup.
